I have been fortunate enough to love what I do for work most of my life. I have grown through every job I ever had and have been working since I was doing flyers at eight years old, working part time jobs after that through the school years.
I have met great people, and not so great people, while doing so and am grateful for both. Experience is not just the technical aspect of the work but the culture and environment you wish to work in and with. I have learned to create better environments and culture with everything I do.
A big part of what I have gained from my experience is from sharing with others by training, coaching, encouraging, managing, and mentoring them and allowing myself to learn from others. My success has been by working with others through collaboration and planning. Failing and learning has given me the experience that greatly enhances my value to what I do, specifically now.
I have been involved in every aspect of construction. I am an operations experienced individual that has participated and led in technical issues, hard tenders and construction management, vetting of suppliers and subtrades, finding and hiring staff at every level, training and mentoring, budget, schedule and quality development and active process, systems development and sculpting the type of company we were. I have developed client, consultant, engineering, supplier, subtrade and other relationships for 40 years. I know the gaps and know what to look out for.
I plan first, build wisely to get it right the first time, and use spending wisdom to ensure value is received for The Project.
